Designed with Care, Built with Purpose, Guided by Service.
- More Than Bathroom Design—It’s About Quality of Life
Accessibility Starts with Understanding
Welcome to Accessible Bath Designs, where safety, mobility, and dignity come first. Our goal is to help you age in place and live comfortably in your home for years to come.
If mobility challenges make your bathroom difficult to use, consider a custom remodel. Unlike one-size-fits-all, quick-install solutions, we design bathrooms tailored to your current and future needs. A bathroom with accessible features with aesthetic appeal that reflect your personal style.
With a professional design in hand, you can solicit construction bids faster and more accurately, often saving weeks or months. Builders build—designers design. Accessible Bath Designs is your specialist, helping reduce lead time and overall costs.
Design your home into your forever home. Take action today and experience the freedom of an accessible bathroom.

- Meet Our Founder
Steve Myers, Ph.D., Designer
Steve Myers has worn many hats throughout his career, including real estate appraiser, sales broker, mortgage broker, and educator. In each profession, he earned numerous industry designations, demonstrating his expertise and commitment to excellence.
Most recently, Steve spent 14 years with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) as a Specially Adapted Housing Agent, helping hundreds of disabled veterans navigate through complex VBA requirements to secure their accessible housing grant. As a U.S. Navy veteran himself, this work was especially meaningful.
After retiring from the VBA, Steve continues to serve individuals with disabilities— both veterans and civilians—by focusing on accessible bathroom designs.
What are accessible bath designs?
Accessible bath design focuses on creating safe, easy-to-use bathrooms for individuals with disabilities, limited mobility, or age-related challenges—without sacrificing comfort or appearance.
Who can benefit from your services?
Accessible Bath Designs will benefit the entire household with the safety features installed.
Do I need to be disabled to request a consultation?
No. Our designs will benefit all current and future homeowners and add value to your home and make it easier to sell.
Do you provide installation or just design?
Accessible Bath Designs is a design firm only, no construction or installation. However, we can help guide you through this phase of the project. Contractors are good at building or remodelling things, but not so good with designs. Our designs will provide a recipe for the contractor to follow and to bid the project. Thus accelerating the time frame of the entire project. Our designs are suggestions with the ability to make changes as needed.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes, your telephone consultation is free, however on-site inspections are not. Accessible Bath Designs like so many other professionals utilize the retainer system of payment, that means prepayment of all services. This retainer is earned upon receipt. The fact that the retainer has been paid in advance does not affect your right to terminate the client – designer relationship. You may or may not have a right to a refund of a portion of the retainer fee. In the event of a dispute, Accessible Bath Designs agrees to take reasonable and prompt action to resolve the dispute according to Washington State law.
